"Oriental" Love..... "Victorian Lace Today" - Shoulder Shawl in Syrian Pattern - 36" X 57"
Yarn: Susan's Spinning Bunny - Mohair/Merino Fiber - Oriental Poppies - spun ~18 wpi
Fearful I would run out of yarn, I added only 3 additional pattern repeats. Shawl measures 72" X 36". As it turns out, I had an additional 332 yards of yarn. Sigh. Better picture tomorrow.

A Little Crazy.............. A little planning for next year....This will be for Bob....in black....all black....keep in mind....his favorite vest measures 30" - armohole to armhole. It will be a lot of knitting!
This will be for Joan....in gray....I am crazy about it even though I prefer the green! I also bought more Kidsilk Haze in "Blushes" and "Fondant" for one scarf and one shawl from "Victorian Lace Today." You'll be happy to know, I ordered an extra skein of each color. I should be good.
So...I start my yarn diet today....except sock yarn doesn't count...

La Vie en Rose(s)..............
Spent a beautiful day with Bob, Joanie and Gregg. Bobby was missed but...a phone call had to suffice.

Good Times!
Up close and personal : )
A little noticeable when wet....but I now know why I ran out of yarn....My shawl measures 21" X 72." The pattern shows 17" X 72." I didn't even block it to its full potential. Since I don't like to swatch for shawls, I will go down a needle size when knitting patterns from "Victorian Lace Knitting."

Saved! Although I contacted at least 10 internet yarn shops, no one had my dye lot. But - Dale just happened to have my color - in a different dye lot - but which actually looks pretty darn close! I am so happy!!!!!!!! Not only did Dale have my color, she delivered it to my door! You know what I will be doing tonight! I am thrilled!!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!
