The Waiting Game.....

While waiting for MS3 Clue #2 to post, I've been working on the Wing of the Moth shawl...it truly is an enjoyable knit!

This is really beautiful! I think lace knitting is awesome and you are amazing at it! I think I am going to try it as my next project and hopefully I can become at least half of how amazing you are at lace knitting! Any ideas or tips before I begin would be greatly appreciated!

It is amazing to see lace knitting before and after blocking...both beautiful, but unbelievably different. Valerie should look back at your May Posts to see the finished shawl.....is it Wing O' the Moth?

Valerie, I would recommend any of the Beginner shawls/scarves in VLT...I also think Icarus is a great pattern! "Folk Shawls" has wonderful patterns for heavier yarns that are truly beautiful! When you're ready, we can brainstorm! I use plenty of stitch markers, count the stitches in between the markers as soon as I knit them so any errors or missing yarnovers can be handled expeditiously...and that's about it! It also helps if you spread out the stitches on your left needle so that any stitches that are stuck to yarnovers can be separated. That's really about it!

All of you very ambitious people can figure this all out....I will finish the baby blankie and then go back to my Rowan pattern shawl......it is way easier than anything you all are talking about here........I realize I will have to make socks or something to understand the use of the dreaded dpn's.......I'd like to try one before we go to October Stitches... I'll just be reading and keep an eye on all of your projects.....
