The Game Plan......
In an effort to both satisfy my inclination to buy yarn for new projects and finish some old....here's the plan. I will attempt to alternate new projects with old projects.....sigh.....It still means I went shopping this morning....
After I finish Bee Fields (real close) I will:
Finish Kilrean....and knit fast so I don't run out of yarn....
Move on to Cobblestone for Bob....
Finish the Bliss baby sweater.....
Knit Cobblestone for Bobby (ordered the yarn this morning).....
Finish the baby blanket.....
Knit a Hemlock Ring Blanket (ordered the yarn this morning).....
Finish Bob's black vest....
Knit Kukka for Joanie for Christmas....(ordered the yarn this morning).....
This list does not include Bobby's gansey, his Philosopher's Wool sweater, or my Rowan cardigan....but it's a start!

Bugged by a Bee........
I spent the better part of Sunday knitting Bee Fields. My yarn is a little "energized/excited" but I'm happy with it! The little winglets on the sides are various sizes due to the various sizes in the yarn but I love it anyway!
After I accomplish my Monday morning chores and plan an easy dinner....I will be knitting. Is it bad that when I plan my day I mentally pencil in knitting?????

Bee Season....
Slight change in plans....the baby blanket and the baby sweater can wait. It doesn't get really cold in Ohio until November anyway....plenty of time : )

Blocked...........
The tip............
The wing.....I opted to block it a little differently, highlighting the points, instead of curved.
Final Measurement: 74" X 20"
I love the stitch pattern in the wing....glad I decided to knit "the mystery." Melanie designed a beautiful stole....I discovered I love knitting with beads....I'm already looking forward to MS4!

Caught Up.....
The final clue will be posted today. It has been an enjoyable knit and I am looking forward to finishing it! MS4 is already being planned for next summer/early fall!
I'm itching to start some new projects....
Bee Fields for one...
Cobblestone for another....but....
I am going to finish a few projects that have been languishing next to my knitting chair. The baby blanket (ugh!)....the baby sweater...sigh....and what to do about Joan's sweater coat! The pattern book indicates 9 balls of Donegal Chunky Tweed....the Debbie Bliss site indicates 13 balls - a half a sweater more yarn! Have not heard back from Knitting Fever...don't want to waste my time knitting if I already know I don't have enough yarn! Just disgusted.....

What Your Latte Says About You |
You are easygoing and pretty simple to please. You don't put up a fuss... ever. You are a very serious person. You don't have time for silly antics. You have a good deal of energy, but you pace yourself. You never burn out too fast. You're addicted to caffeine. There's no denying it. You are a child at heart, and you don't ever miss the opportunity to do something playful. You are sophisticated and daring, but you are never snobby. |

The Woolen Hat...........
Yarn: Baabajoes Woolpak 10 ply
Design: Can be found here - http://scrumptiousliving.wordpress.com/scrumptious-patterns/new-york/
I also consulted Ann Budd's, "The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns." A size large, it looks small but does have a nice stretch factor. We'll see. I'll take a picture of Gregg wearing it....

Pencil Mania..........
Jackie is considering adding pencil roving to her inventory of fabulous yarns and fibers she sells. When we got together last night, she gave me 8 oz. of Crown Mountain Corriedale pencil roving in the "Watermelon" colorway to try. Yummy, no?

What's Next!.......
Gregg has requested a black hat....and I have been doing some serious thinking about Kilcar. I have decided to rip back to the armhole yet again, work the sides in stockinette and see if the third time's the charm. If it doesn't please me, or the stitch count is off AGAIN, I'll rip it out and choose something else. I hate to admit defeat but there are so many issues with this sweater. I am already stressing about sewing it together...bulky yarn means bulky seams....the collar is knit separately and then attached. I'm thinking of just knitting it on....I've also decided wet blocking is the way to go...will do my swatch first to see how the yarn behaves...but...this all depends on the armohles. Sigh.
